Format
  • Time control: 15 minutes for each side, no increment.
  • 3 to 5 games, depends on the number of participants.
About awards

If your school finishes in the top 3, you will receive a chess medal!

To qualify, you must contribute at least 20 points for your team:

  • 1 bonus point for each game played in ChessKid  during May 9th - May 30th (including tournament games).
  • 10 points for each score earned in the four weekly tournaments.
ChessKid Account Information for parents
  • If your child received a ChessKid account from me, they can use that.
  • If they want to use a different existing account, please add me (eric@westchess.com) as an additional guardian so I can include them in the West Chess Club ChessKid Group.
    (Note: in your "Parent Account", go "My Kids" | "Edit Kid" | "Edit Guardianship" )
  • If they don’t have an account, you can register here: ChessKid Registration, then add me as an additional guardian.
  • Alternatively, email me, and I can create an account for your child.
