Format
- Online games on ChessKid.com.
- Time control: 15 minutes for each side, no increment.
- 4 weekly matches, each with 3 to 5 games, depending on the number of participants.
About awards
If your school finishes in the top 3, your team members will receive a chess medal!
To qualify for a medal, a player must contribute at least 20 points to their school team:
- 1 bonus point for each game played on ChessKid between May 9th - May 30th (including tournament games).
- 10 points for each score earned in the four weekly matches.
ChessKid Account Information for parents
- If your child received a ChessKid account from me, they can use that.
- If they want to use a different existing account, please add me (eric@westchess.com) as an additional guardian so I can include them in the West Chess Club ChessKid Group.
(Note: in your "Parent Account", go "My Kids" | "Edit Kid" | "Edit Guardianship" ) - If they don’t have an account, you may email me, and I can create an account for your child.
