#Introduction
Open to Grade K-Grade 8.
You kids have already learned chess rules (from Step 1) and some basic tactics (from Step 2); more importantly, they have managed to apply the relevant knowledge to their own games.
In this Step we continue teaching some important supporting skills, like "thinking ahead".
Topics include: Draws, X-ray check and attack, Defending against a pin, Mobility, Key squares, Pinned pieces, Threats and more.
The students is NOT required to have finished Step 3A, which could be taken afterwards.
